Undergraduate Account Lockout
Account lock-outs occur when a person enters in an invalid login and/or password three consecutive times (i.e., three distinct invalid values, not three times of the same invalid values). This mechanism is in place for security reasons (it combats the "dictionary method" of cracking passwords).
Locked accounts will always automatically unlock themselves after 30 minutes. If a lock-out occurs during business hours, an consultant at the EIT Help Desk can unlock the account right away. Simply come to the Help Desk and request to have your account unlocked. You will be need a photo ID for security reasons. If the lock-out occurs outside of business hours (or if you're just not in a hurry), simply wait 30 minutes for the account to unlock itself.
Note: It might be a good idea to then change your password after your account is unlocked. If you do change your password, remember to change any automatic login/passwords that might be set up in your email program or any other applications that use your Undergraduate Account username and password.
